CARIFTA NEWS

April 8, 2007 - After two days of exciting competition, in which twenty seven meet records were broken (12 on day 1 and 15 on day 2), the French Antilles leads from Bahamas and Trinidad.

April 4, 2007 - The first 151 persons (swimmers, officials and supporters) from 3 participating countries arrived today. The teams here are from Bermuda, Bahamas and French Guyana.

March 22, 2007 - 248 swimmers from 13 Caribbean Countries have entered the 2007 CARIFTA Swimming Championships. The ASAJ will today officially announce that the competition will be hosted by Jamaica at the national Stadium Pool.

November 22, 2006 - A number of corrections have been made to the 2007 CARIFTA Swimming and Synchronized Swimming Summons, please ensure that you use the latest version dated November 22, 2006.

November 21, 2006 - Welcome to the new CARIFTA 2007 Home Page. Click here to see the Meet Summons. The Organizing Committee is working with Air Jamaica to offer special CARIFTA 2007 Group Fares - we should have these available within two weeks. We will also publish our supporters packages shortly.

JAMAICA IS PLEASED TO HOST THE 2007 CARIFTA SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIPS APRIL 7-10 AT THE NATIONAL STADIUM POOL IN KINGSTON.

CARIFTA 2007 (Jamaica) will include two disciplines; Swimming and Synchronized Swimming. The CARIFTA Waterpolo competition will be held in the Netherlands Antilles. The following countries have been invited to participate:
